RaiseAChild recruits, educates and encourages supportive relationships with all prospective foster and adoptive parents in Southern California. The organization works with agencies nationwide to improve the process of bringing foster children to safe, loving homes.
Their vision is to be the nationwide leader in the recruitment and support of LGBTQ and all prospective parents to meet the needs of almost 450,000 children in the foster care system, including the more than 30,000 foster children in L.A. County alone.
As a leader in foster care services, RaiseAChild developed a system to find—and then support—people who are interested in becoming foster/adoptive parents.
As a result, RaiseAChild outperforms the national standard by advancing 23% of prospective foster and adoptive parents from inquiry to certification, and Banc of California is proud to serve as their bank and support their life-changing work.
