Empowering Individuals to Make a Difference

Dr. Joel Aronowitz is a board-certified plastic surgeon based in Los Angeles, California. A cum laude graduate of Southern Methodist University, he earned his medical degree in the accelerated program at Baylor College of Medicine, completing his training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Houston’s Texas Medical Center. For the past 30 years, he has been one of the most reputable plastic surgeons in Beverly Hills, specializing in a variety of cosmetic procedures.

Growing up in Oklahoma, Joel always wanted to become a doctor in order to help people. He strives to find ways to allow his skills as a plastic surgeon help those in need and has done so by expanding his practice with four wound care centers as well as with his involvement in stem cell research and breast cancer reconstructive services. “I’m just trying to be a good doctor every day. And I try to make people’s lives better in some way…. Banc of California was instrumental in helping to set up the Breast Preservation Foundation and promoting its mission of empowering women to understand all the choices they have in the prevention and treatment of breast cancer.”

Dr. Joel Aronowitz has been banking with Banc of California for over 15 years. Looking for a more personalized approach to his banking needs, Dr. Aronowitz wanted a bank that would give him courage to expand his business, and comfort knowing his bank would act as a partner in his growth. “What attracted me to the bank to begin with was having been a small fish in a big pond—I wanted to be a bigger fish in a smaller pond. But the danger of that is that you don’t want a pond that’s too small. Banc of California was the right size, and it’s still the right size. Banc of California has grown as I’ve grown.”

A proud member of the California community, Dr. Aronowitz believes it’s the responsibility of each individual to give back to the community in which they live and work. In Banc of California he believes he has found a bank that embraces that ideal. “I think of it less as a bank, and more as a group of individuals. Banc of California is a group of individuals who are basically very nice people, they’re good people, and they’re Californians. It’s a bank that strikes me as not only wanting to have a personal relationship with its clients, but wanting to promote its clients, because it wants to promote California.”

People in California are striving, and they’re striving to have better lives, to make the world a better place, together. And institutions like the Banc of California I think help Californians to get together and to strive together better.
