James Ehret

James Ehret is Managing Director, Life Sciences Venture Banking, at Banc of California.

Mr. Ehret joined Banc of California in 2022 and specializes in addressing the venture debt and commercial banking needs of venture-backed companies in the healthcare and life sciences sectors.

Prior to joining Banc of California, Mr. Ehret served as Regional Sales Director for Abbott Laboratories’ Cardiac Electrophysiology business unit in Boston, where he was responsible for driving sales growth, managing client relationships and leading strategic initiatives within the cardiac electrophysiology market.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Ehret serves on the Board of Advisors for Life Science Cares Boston, contributing his expertise to support the organization’s mission.

Mr. Ehret earned a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
