BANC Foundation Affordable Housing
Home ownership enables people to lift themselves up and put down roots.
Owning a home is a cornerstone of The American Dream. And with every new homeowner, the community gains a new friend, neighbor, and contributor to its economic and social vitality.
We provide resources to help empower more Californians own their own homes.
Toward that end, we assist with construction and rehabilitation of owner-occupied housing and provide competitive solutions for real estate development businesses.
We finance projects that don’t fit within a traditional lender’s criteria to help communities enjoy the growth they need and deserve.
Featured Partners
We and our partners are committed to helping make affordable housing available where it is most needed.
Mary Erickson Community Housing (MECH) is dedicated to providing affordable rent and housing, and creating homeownership opportunities for qualified families. It has played a key role in affecting the lives of many families and veterans in San Clemente and surrounding areas. Banc of California is proud to work closely with MECH to help create affordable housing for more hardworking California families and to help make the dream of owning a home a reality for first-time buyers.
LEARN MORESeeking to put love and faith into action, Habitat for Humanity® of Orange Country strives to fulfill their mission of ensuring that everyone has a decent place to live. Their organization touches the lives of seniors, veterans and families who need a home, home repair and renovations. Banc of California supports organizations that impact lives, helping families and individuals into the homes they deserve and feel safe in…building homes and families. We have been able on several occasions to send a team of volunteers as part of a “team build” to turn a house into a home. Habitat for Humanity OC brings together community residents, community associations and other partners to transform living conditions and bring new hope to those in need. We are especially proud to support Habitat for Humanity OC on special programs that serve military veterans, as well as neighborhood revitalization programs that reach into different areas of Orange County.
LEARN MOREOrange County Community Housing Corporation (OCCHC) is more than just a real estate venture providing affordable housing for low-income families in Orange County neighborhoods—their mission is to transition at-risk families from homelessness to homeownership by empowering parents and children through housing and education. Banc of California is proud to support OCCHC SteppingUP students through corporate donations and by serving on their board of directors. We recognize that their efforts align with our corporate mission to focus on the underserved, from both a housing and education perspective. The education component of OCCHC/SteppingUP comes through the College Awareness Program (CAP), which is key to supporting youth involved in the program. CAP increases the number of high school–age children graduating on time, and then they’re on their way to becoming first-generation college graduates.
LEARN MOREThe Thomas House Family Shelter provides a rent-free home and safe environment for homeless families with children to stay as a family unit. Banc of California is proud to support Thomas House and their 30-year mission to help homeless families. Their shelter and their actions address the special circumstance of homeless children, who suffer only because their parents are simply not able to make ends meet. While at Thomas House, children are able to attend their school and get much needed support when they return. By supporting Thomas House through both corporate donations and volunteerism, families are able to stay together, regain stability and find a new direction for the future. These are goals that are important to us, to families and to the growth of California.
LEARN MOREPATH is ending homelessness for individuals, families, and communities by building affordable housing and providing supportive services throughout California.
