Carlos Ramos

Carlos Ramos is Executive Vice President and Middle Market Banking Group Leader at Banc of California. With over 20 years of global commercial banking experience, Mr. Ramos leads a high-performing team that provides customized financial solutions to middle market clients across diverse industries. His areas of expertise include working capital optimization, acquisition financing, dividend recapitalizations and asset-based lending, all designed to help businesses achieve their strategic goals.

Mr. Ramos has a proven track record of building and guiding successful teams. He was the founding senior banker for Woodforest National Bank’s Los Angeles–based West Coast Commercial Banking team, where he played a key role in establishing the team, developing the bank’s client acquisition strategy and recruiting top-tier talent. His accomplishments earned him recognition as one of the Top Lenders by the Los Angeles Business Journal in 2020. Previously, Mr. Ramos held significant roles at HSBC and Bank of Scotland plc, gaining extensive expertise in corporate banking, special assets management, commercial real estate lending and cross-border trade finance. Throughout his career, he has successfully structured complex financing solutions for prominent companies and ultra-high-net-worth individuals on a global scale.

Mr. Ramos earned a bachelor of business administration degree with an emphasis in finance and a minor in Hispanic business studies from Loyola Marymount University. He also holds a master of business administration degree with concentrations in finance and strategy from the Peter F. Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University.

Committed to giving back to his community, Mr. Ramos serves on the Board of Trustees at Cathedral High School in Los Angeles, where he is a former Chairman of the Board. He is also a member of the National Board of the Catholic Association of Latino Leaders, where he serves as Finance Committee Chair and a member of the Executive Committee. Additionally, Mr. Ramos is a Board Member of the Pasadena Southwest Little League, where he serves as League Game Scheduler. His previous service includes roles as Vice Chairman and Finance Committee Chair for the Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA Board of Managers.

Mr. Ramos resides in Pasadena, California, with his wife, two children, and their two dogs.
