President & CEO, USS Midway MuseumHonoring Veterans and Inspiring Future Generations
The USS Midway Museum is dedicated to educating visitors about the valor and sacrifices of those who served in the military. This museum comes to life through the efforts of 800 volunteers, providing an enriching educational experience that honors our nation’s heroes.
Over two decades ago, Banc of California played a pivotal role in the transformation of the USS Midway aircraft carrier into a cherished historic landmark. In 2024, we were honored to renew our commitment to the organization through a $100,000 donation to support the creation of Freedom Park, a new initiative by the USS Midway Museum. Freedom Park, an interactive veterans park is set to be the largest on the West Coast, which will share inspiring stories of veterans to motivate future generations.
Chris Burt, Regional President at Banc of California, notes, “From the very beginning the bank was involved with the Midway, and we are so proud to be a part of that.” As a bank committed to leveraging our strengths to support vital community initiatives, Banc of California remains dedicated to enhancing the museum’s mission and ensuring the legacy of service is preserved for future generations.
By working together, we aim to inspire and educate future generations, celebrating those who served while building a brighter future.
